Master's Thesis and Research Seminar
Content:
Students can participate in this course if they want to write a Master's Thesis about a topic in the field of Production and Logistics.

Expected prior knowledge:
Deeper knowledge in the Field of Production and Logistics is expected, shown by successful participation in a module offered in the area and a seminar in a related field, i.e., provided by the chairs of Operations Management or Management Science.
(Early) Registration:
This seminar is not offered each semester. Please see the NEWS section for offerings and deadlines (typically towards the end of the examination period for writing the thesis in the following semester).
We have to decide upon the next semester's offerings early in the preceding semester. If you are interested in writing a Master's Thesis supervised by us in the future, please pre-register by Email to rainer.kleber(at)ovgu.de, providing the following information:
- The semester in which you are planning to write the Master's Thesis and the earliest start date
- A current transcript of records (Notenbescheinigung)
- A list of the currently visited lectures and seminars from the "Logistics & OM" profile
- If available, a copy of your seminar paper
- Optional: proposed suggestions for the topic of the master thesis (max. 3) or a project description in case of collaboration with a company (for details, see the "Guidance for academic writing" at the bottom of this page); the topics should be in line with the research or teaching interests of the supervisor; there is no entitlement to consideration of desired topics
To finish the seminar before the end of the semester, the final agreement on the topic and, thus, the start of the reading period might happen during the semester break.
